Therapy facilitates exploring our unique sense of our authentic self and what that means for each of us. Therapy empowers us to navigate that journey.

Many of us live according what we deem is expected of us, life might have been good but we have put off track. Life might have always been challenging.

Until we live according to our own values, achieving our own goals, allowing ourselves to choose what is right and to reject what feels wrong we cannot be fulfilled or happy.

Life brings disappointment, loss, rejection, endings and beginnings we don’t choose or wish for, powerlessness, lack of success, grief and trauma. Such experiences can be at best confusing and bewildering and worse inspire hopelessness and despair.

Suffering can lead to feelings of anxiety and depression, stress, issues with relationships, compromised health, and lack of general ability to function.

It can be a lonely and desperate place to be but there is a way through, a way forward.

I have a strong belief in the ability to transcend adversity. It is within us to rebuild, stabilise the mind and soothe the heart. Often it is too difficult to navigate and manage doing so on our own. Therapy provides support and encouragement.

Why Integrative?

Integrative Therapy draws upon the schools of evidence based Psychotherapeutic approaches. It makes sense that the fundamental theories of Psychotherapy can be respected and each have their place depending upon the circumstance.

Whatever your story holds,  my practice offers the respectful, confidential, kind, non judgemental space for your therapeutic journey.

My Practice

No matter what you have experienced and suffered, I am here to support you.

I am an experienced integrative psychotherapist and counsellor. I have a practice in Bath and Bristol.

I offer both face-to-face and remote psychotherapy & counselling welcoming clients of every gender, sexuality, ethnicity, race, religion, disability and background.

My Background

I have a professional background in education and medicine.

My work as Head of Service in schools, a University lecturer and my privileged role at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children inspired me to study and train in Psychotherapy as much of my work required me to counsel children, young people, families and colleagues.

Initial  Session

If you would like to discuss therapy, please telephone or email me and I will contact you to organise an initial consultation session. I aim to respond within 24 hours and will arrange a conversation with you on the telephone (free of charge) prior to our meeting.

Our initial consultation session will be 15 minutes long and is available face-to-face, over Zoom or the telephone, depending on what feels most comfortable and suitable for you. This consultation is an opportunity for us to talk through your reasons for seeking therapy, for me to gather a brief background and for you to decide whether I am the right therapist for you.

Ongoing sessions would then be weekly and last 50 minutes.

All contact with me is confidential. The only exception is if I believe you are at serious risk either to yourself or to others.
